violent femmes violence

well i saw the violent femmes last night and they were pretty fucking awesome but sugarloaf really sucks. first of all i knew it was a "budweiser presents" event so there would be nothing good to drink. my friend and i got pretty close to the front, but people kept shoving me around like it was ok to show up late and then butt in front of people who have been standing in the same place for an hour waiting to see the band. the band that opened was called the hot tarts and they were alright. about half way through the violent femmes my ears really started to heart, on account of being nudged further and further from stage towards the speakers, and i had to go back and find a place that was a bit quieter. i was really pissed off at this point about the people at the show... there were people behind us talking about their stock portfolios... and getting pushed around, i didn't want to get in a fight but i wanted to stand my ground too. this one big fat drunk girl was trying to dance but just kept falling into me-- i was standing behind her-- that was irritating. later on i went back towards the front and they played add it up and i had a good time until the end. but i still can't hear from my right ear.
