link dump

here i am posting electro-acoustic music related links to web-pages i have found in my spare time, but never had any good reason to mention:

1. i can't tell if this is a hoax or not, but here is a video of somebody's scanner playing fur elise, and here are directions on how to do it yourself.

2. an archive of virtual synthesized drum machines. you can download them and play with them. if you want to.

3. fun desktop blues thing.

4. online transposer. very useful when i only have a harmonica in a certain key or i can't sing high or low enough.

5. this is the band that opened for violent femmes at sugarloaf, called hot tarts. you can listen to their music.

6. watch as frank zappa sticks it to the man! (and that man is tipper gore.)

7. this happened a while ago, but here is a story on john cage's 639 year symphony progressing to its second chord.
